Gina Marano holds a Master of Science Degree in Forestry and Environmental Sciences at the University of Padua. She’s currently second-year PhD student in Sustainable Forestry and Agricultural Systems at the University of Naples Federico II. Her research topic focuses on developing tools over geoSpatial Decision Support Systems to support Sustainable Forest Management practices at different scales (https://www.landsupport.eu/). She will test the 3D-CMCC (Three Dimensional-Coupled Model Carbon Cycle) Forest Ecosystem Model in order to simulate different silvicultural treatments taking soil properties and remotely sensed derived indexes into account under different climate scenarios. The research work will be fully developed under the supervision of Dr. Alessio Collalti and 3D-CMCC-FEM Lab.
